ON SET HEADSETS REPAIR & WARRANTY PROGRAM

The ON SET HEADSETS Warranty program protects the customer from any manufacturing defects with a headset within 1-year from the purchase date. We will either repair or replace the product depending on the issue.

Issues covered by this warranty include: Broken buttons, broken pins, headset does not transmit in/out.

Issues NOT covered by this warranty include: General wear and tear, water in the mic, damaged or severed wires, air bubbles in the tube, other brands’ headsets.

Before a Headset Exchange takes place, go through this checklist to see if the problem can be troubleshot first.

    1. Is this product within the 1-Year warranty? If No, Customer should Purchase a new Headset.
    2. If Yes, troubleshoot the problem.
    3. If the problem is the user can’t hear people over the radio, there could be 4 reasons:
      • A problem with the walkie-talkie (check connection points or replace battery)
      • A problem with the output speaker (check connection where tube is plugged in)
      • A problem with or kink in the wire (check for bumps or kinks in along the length of the wire)
      • The tube may be clogged with an air or water bubble*.

* To check for air or water bubbles in the acoustic tube, hold the acoustic tube up to a light and scan the length of the tube for a bubble inside. Bubbles may be hard to see so look closely and slowly. If a bubble is found, blow out the tube with compressed air. There is no permanent cure except for buying a new tube.

Air or water may become trapped in the acoustic tube from working in the rain or general condensation built up from body heat through the ear.

    1. If there are no bubbles in the tube and there are no visible issues with the headset, an exchange will be made.
    2. If the problem is that people can’t hear the user, an exchange will be made
    3. If the problem is that the button has been broken, a repair will be made:
      • Unscrew the 2 small screws in the back plate of the microphone and remove the plate
      • Remove any broken pieces that may be stuck inside the microphone
      • Replace the square rubber bumper
      • Replace the button
      • Reattach back plate with 2 screws
